On July 21st, it was reported that the virtual power plant in Ziyang City, Sichuan Province, precisely executed user-side load regulation, with a cumulative response of 18,060 kWh of electricity over two days. The platform officially represented users responded 20 times, with a cumulative response duration of 9 hours, completing the first market-oriented electricity demand response agency task of 2025. This effectively reduced the power grid load during peak electricity usage periods and ensured the safe operation of the power grid. Relevant data showed that this initiative was expected to bring subsidy benefits of 43,000 yuan to participating users. It is expected that by the end of this year, Ziyang City will orderly promote the construction of user-side ESS with a total capacity of 22MW/44MWh for 23 enterprises, further enhancing the flexible and adjustable capabilities of the virtual power plant.
